Samsung Galaxy S7 now modular with i-BLADES Smartcase

i-BLADES Galaxy S7 Smartcase gives Galaxy S7 modular phone capabilities

MILPITAS, CA, July 7, 2016--i-BLADES, Inc., creator of the world’s first Smartcase, today announced its new Galaxy S7 Smartcase. A phone case for the Galaxy S7, that makes the Samsung Galaxy S7 a modular phone.

Following swiftly from the announcements of the modular LG G5 and modular Moto Z, i-BLADES (www.i-blades.com) now makes it possible for the Samsung Galaxy S7 to go modular too. The i-BLADES Galaxy S7 case is not only a stylish slim case that protects the Samsung Galaxy S7, but it also advances its capabilities as a modular phone, with removable Smartblades. Smartblades are modules that snap-on and snap-off the phone case to customize and personalize smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy S7 case with built-in smart technology

Its is the built-in patented micro-thin smart technology in the phone case that enables the Galaxy S7 modular functionality. The i-BLADES Smartcase creates a smart platform within the phone case. This smart platform allows users to expand the capabilities of their Galaxy S7 (and other smartphones), leveraging consumers’ needs to buy phone cases for protection, while allowing them to switch to a smart modular future. The Smartcase comes with the i-BLADES SmartApp that manages the different Smartblades.

Starter pack battery and memory modules

The i-BLADES Galaxy S7 Smartcase comes with the Turbo 64 Smartblade. When attached to the i-BLADES Smartcase, this thin removable Smartblade gives Galaxy S7 users: 18 hours more talk time; 10 hours more video viewing; plus 64GB more memory. It also gives the Galaxy S7 user an additional microSD slot for expandable storage. This is particularly valuable for Galaxy S7 dual SIM users who are prevented from using the microSD slot for expandable storage when using dual SIM. There are several Smartblades available and more coming soon. The Galaxy S7 modular capabilities will only increase over time.

Stackable charging

The i-BLADES Smartblades are stackable. Therefore multiple Smartblades can be charged at one time via their own USB or through the phone case. This lets users enjoy extremely long lasting power through multiple pocketable Smartblades. The Smartblades are also transferable to other Smartcase users both for future and for past smartphones.

Limited offer - Smart VR headset for the Galaxy S7

i-BLADES recently announced a Smart VR blade (a portable VR headset) that attaches to the Smartcase. Users can pre-order the Galaxy S7 Smartcase with Turbo 65 Smartblade for $99. As a one-off promotion to showcase the i-BLADES ecosystem, users who pre-order the Galaxy S7 Smartcase with Smartblade can add the Smart VR Blade for a total of just $119.

Go to i-blades.co/Galaxy-S7-modular-case choose the Smartcase and add the Smart VR Blade to cart use the coupon Smartvrgalaxys7. Limited stocks are available. The coupon can only be used once per person and the offer lasts until the end of July only.

Earlier this year, i-BLADES announced “on the go entertainment” as well as a partnership with the world’s leading micro-sensor maker Bosch Sensor-Tech. More Smartblades will be announced later this year.
The recent reaction to the LG G5 indicates that consumers are interested in modular phone capabilities. As smartphone innovation has stalled. But there is a real need for phone protection as well as functionality that is intuitive.  In combining the two, i-BLADES meets the needs of today's millennial consumer who expects customization options for their products. Now consumers can enjoy a Galaxy S7 modular phone experience but be reassured their phone is protected.
