Extend your senses
with the most convenient air quality monitor ever

Every i-BLADES Smartcase acts as a portable air quality monitor with an embedded micro-EnviroSensor. It helps you live a HEALTHIER lifestyle by monitoring the air quality around you.

We increasingly use technology to help inform our health decisions, tracking calories, steps and heart rate. Up unitl now there have not been the tools to easily inform ourselves about air quality. The growing evidence indicates we should take the health impacts of indoor and outdoor air quality seriously.

This is first time that an air quality sensor has been placed in a phone case and it provides an easy to use solution as part of your day to day devices - instead of a standalone or non-portable air quality monitor. Ā

Its time you understood better the air you breathe, everywhere you go.

Air quality is an essential determinant of health and well-being according to the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Unfotunately poor air quality levels are a widespread issue. 92% of the world's population lives in places where air quality levels exceed healthy limits (WHO 2016).

This is not just some distant problem its prevalent in most countries for example: 50% of Americans are exposed to unhealthy levels of pollutants each year (American Lung Association).

Indoor air quality can be up to 5 times more polluted than the air outside.

The focus on air quality issues can mistakenly be outside. However, on average we spend more than 90% of our lives indoors and indoor air pollution is consistently ranked among the top environmental risks to public health (Science Advisory Board, SAB).

There are scientific studies that show the indoor environment may play an important role in childhood asthma. Recently an increasing body of research has associated chemical emissions from common indoor materials with the risk of asthma, allergies and respiratory infections.

Now for every breath you take you can understand the air you breathe. The i-BLADES Smartcase turns your smartphone into a portable air quality monitor.

It comes with an easy to use application that alerts you to the quality of air you are breathing. Identifying air quality changes fast and accurately so you can take action and live a healthier lifestyle.

The i-BLADES EnviroSensor is powered by the Bosch BME 680 chemical gas sensor that is a 4-in1 sensor (measuring 4 different environmental elements) with a user friendly interface. The app has a color-coded indicator dial displaying clear changes in air quality on an index of 0-500. It also shows real-time temperature, humidity and barometric pressure.

It provides real-time data as well as historical data analysis, so you can track where and when air quality changed.

What the EnviroSensor measures

Volatile Organic Compounds
A major source of bad air quality indoors and outdoors. As well as health risks, there are increased germ levels at higher VOC levels. The sensor measures all VOCs including: formaldehyde, ammonia, benzene, xylene, decane. Also potential irritants in perfumes such as Limonence, eucalyptol.

Temperature
Clearly a key factor in your comfort but when also combined with humidity levelscan affects contaminant levels.

Humidity
Lower and upper limits can impact respiratory tract, eye irritation and trigger allergies.

Barometric pressure
Weather and altitude indication.

A healthier lifestyle
Understanding air quality conditions and adjusting the environment can have a positive impact on your health.

Better cognitive performance
There are several scientific studies linking poor air quality and how it can negatively impact cognitive performance.

Improved sleep and comfort
Sleep is important to recharge our bodies. Poor air quality can disrupt sleep in a number of different ways. Body comfort is largely driveb by environmental factors

Home and building safety
Rooms can become unsafe/ unhealthy environments and these risks can often be unseen - e.g. Renovation work free VOCs; mold affects 20% of households.

Extend your senses

With the most convenient and portable air quality monitor ever

Designed for the active and healthy minded. Every i-BLADES Smartcase acts as a portable air monitor with an embedded micro-EnviroSensor. It helps you understand air quality wherever you are.

The award-winning i-BLADES Smartcase PROTECTS your phone and helps you live a HEATHIER lifestyle as it monitors the air around you.

Technology is becoming more integral in guiding our health choices, such as monitoring our calorie consumption, step count, and heart rate. However, until recently, there have been limited resources to conveniently understand air quality, both in outdoor and indoor environments. The accumulating evidence underscores the importance of paying attention to the health implications of air quality, inside and outside.

For the first time, an air quality sensor has been incorporated into a phone case, offering a simple and accessible way to monitor air quality with your everyday devices, rather than relying on a separate or immobile air quality monitoring system. Ā

Its time you understood better the air you breathe everywhere you go.

The importance of understanding air quality

Quality of air is an essential determinant of health and well being. WHO 2016.

Air quality levels are a widespread issue. 92% of the world's population lives in places where air quality levels exceed WHO limits. WHO air quality model 2016

Indoor air quality can be up to 5 times more polluted than the outside.

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)

When people on average spend up to 90% of their time indoors its important to understand indoor air quality. Particulary as its not as obvious as outdoor air quality issues.

Indoor air pollution is consistently ranked among the top 5 environmental risks to public health (Science Advisory Board SAB).

There are scientific studies that show that the indoor environment may play an important role in childhood asthma. An increasing body of research has associated chemical emissions from common indoor materials with the risk of asthma, allergies and respiratory infections.

Better health through the air we breathe
